Surrounded by crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches and untouched national parks, this resort on Moreton Island, offers a variety of water sports. Tangalooma offers a range of accommodation styles, each set amidst the landscaped gardens and natural bushland, most with water views. The resort can arrange many day tours and activities, including desert safari tours, snorkelling experiences, quad bike tours and helicopter joy flights. Dining highlights include Tursiops buffet restaurant and Fire & Stone Restaurant. Alternatively, take in the views over Moreton Bay while enjoying meals cooked to order from the beach side café. Tangalooma Island Resort is a 75-minute boat ride from Brisbane. Boat transfers to and from Tangalooma Island Resort have an additional charge, payable at the resort on arrival. For new bookings created on or after 01 June 2026, a temporary fuel surcharge will apply for travel dates between 01 June 2026 and 31 January 2027. The temporary ferry fares rates will be: - AUD 104 return per adult - AUD 60 return per child 3 –14 years - Free for children up to 2 years. For all other bookings and travel dates outside the above period, the standard ferry fare rates will remain as follows: - AUD 94 return per adult - AUD 50 return per child 3–14 years - Free for children up to 2 years. Please note that you are automatically booked on the 12:30 boat on the day of arrival (Brisbane to Tangalooma) and the 14:30 boat on the day of departure (Tangalooma to Brisbane). Please contact Tangalooma after booking to request alternative transfer times. Please reconfirm transfers at least 24 hours prior to arrival by contacting the resort directly. Please note that a 2.25% surcharge applies for payments made with American Express credit cards. Please note that any resort guest who requires an uninterrupted, continuous power supply for life support equipment must notify the property 96 hours in advance prior to check-in at the resort or its ferry transportation. Please note that a 1.5% surcharge applies for payments made with Visa and Mastercard. The resort has a number of high-volume events throughout the year, such as conferences, events, film shoots, tourism activations, cruise ship arrivals and large group bookings that can increase the level of guests on the island at any given time. Whilst we reserve some inventory of tours and activities for in-house guests on these days, some of the activities may be limited in availability due to high demand. To avoid disappointment, we encourage guests to book these activities on days other than the days the cruise ships visit. The resort reserves the right to activate high-volume visitation events at any time without notice, but will make efforts to minimise disruption to guest services and access during these times.
